  1. Hi there
I just downloaded a trial version of Ulead DVD PictureShow and I recorded a VCD with slideshows and movies on it.When I created the VCD I could only have 5 submenus on the main menu and each slideshow could have only 10 pictures.I have a question is that a limit on every version or only on the trail one?? Because the VCD which I recorded was about 120MB so what about the rest of the cd ??I wonder should I buy the full version or not I'm hezitating. Please let me know what you guys know about this issue.Thx in advance.

The 'SE' version (which is bundled with DVD Recorders) allows 30 slide shows each with up to 99 images.

The full version allows 99 slide shows each with up to 99 images.
There is a limit of 1900 images for a VCD but the full 99 x 99 (9801) images for a DVD.

I don't know exactly what SE stands for ('Standard Edition' maybe) but it is that same as a 'Lite' version of other software. It is a cut-down version of the full commercial product, often leaving out advanced options.

These versions are not for retail sale, but are licenced to be bundled with other 3rd-party products, usually hardware like DVD recorders.

It's a way to provide tools that will work with the device that you purchased and a way for companies to expose their products to the general public, in the hope that you will upgrade (at a cost) to the full version. But for most people the SE versions are sufficient, there is no usage limit on SE versions as you find in trial versions.

  5. So that means that I can't purchase this product by it self ??

  6. By the way if I would have the full version how can it be possible to have 99 slideshows on a 700MB cd exluding movies?I have 2 movies which are 40MB each and 30 pics and the used space on the CD was around 276MB.That's strange.

    1. No I don't believe the SE versions are commercially available.

    2. Ulead are just syaing that you can have from 1-99 slideshows with 1-99 pics in each. - that of course is limited by the available space on the CD.
