I have just bought a Philips DVD-728. Seems to be an excellent player apart from the following:
Did the Multi-Region hack (Tray open,9,9,9,9,0) and all works OK.
When I watch Region 1 DVD's I notice a varying stuttering of the picture. ie: When the camera pans around it isnt smooth but Jittery.
Is this a region 1 thing or is my player faulty?
Thanks in advance for any advice/help given.

I've noticed the same on my Philips 625 and JVC XV-S300BK. Doesn't happen with all disks, but it happens with the same ones on both players, and on my PC.
I think it's just due to bad workmanship when they encoded the video for the DVD - like not enough bit-rate for motion scenes.Regards,
Rob
