if you want the mpeg file just use cd mage or another image tool to extract the mpeg file.

if you plan on burning to disc. just load up nero , click burn image and select your cue file.

  3. hi

u say to burn the cue file, do u burn this in nero as data or as vcd? If u have two cue files can u merge these and convert in tmpg and out put them in kvcd format?

    many thanks

to make them into KVCD you would have to encode them again and that would make the quality worse. just burn it to 2 seperate discs ( which is normal for vcd/svcd)

    use nero.

clicke File---> burn image--> browse to the cue file click open & burn

  5. Hi,

Do NOT use Nero to burn .bin files, as this software does NOT
properly burn multi-track files--VCD, SVCD, etc.

Instead, use VCDEasy or Alcohol 120%.

    That's funny.

Nero is all I use to burn bin/cue SVCD from TMPGenc. Never a failure.

A bin is a disk image file and the cue is a text file which contains the information which is needed to burn the bin file correctly. You cannot join cue files but you can use nero (and several other programs) to burn the disk image.

I agree with treebeard, ZippyP and gmatov - use Nero to burn. Load the cue file.

c5966, have your problems eminated from burning Disc at once instead of track at once ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

  9. hi

thanks for all your imput, tried with nero and everything works copping the cue file, is there any way of converting the cue file and saving the file ot hard drive in mpg format so i can watch it on pc, or edit the program, like cutting the trailers out at the start of the film with vcd cutter?

    As suggested....

Also isobuster and daemon tools. Look in the guides section and search each tool for a guide.

And it's the bin you want to convert from, not the cue. The cue is just a small text file, the disk image is in the bin.

  11. in nero, click on file and where it says image or burn image or whatever, click on that and then locate where the file is and then burn it.

    Never had a problem.

VCDGEAR is great for SVCD and VCD conversions. DAT/MPG/BIN, it doesn't care, and goes both ways.

  14. looks like we (me included) got off on a tangent regarding nero and other burners and didnt give you some other possibilities for taking the bin que and converting to mpg. Use isobuster. Easy to figure out, but there are a few guides that show you how to do this.

In the same vein, do any of you know anything about Nero's "Image Recorder", virtual device, listed when you click "Choose Recorder"?

Does that "burn" from your bin to a HD folder you specify, in MPEG format?

Probably should just try it. I was going to suggest it, but, hey, I don't know.

All this does is creates the image file. There would be no point in doing this if you already have a BIN file.
    If in doubt, Google it.

    Oh.

I thought that, since when you do a disk copy, Nero burned an image (nrg file ) to your spec'd folder, this was a diff thing.

Might still give it a try, lotsa space.

    Cheers,

Nero only does this with a disk copy if a) you only have one drive or b) you choose not to copy on the fly.

If nero is setup to copy on the fly then you won't get the nrg file in your specified folder. The option to use the image recorder is really for when you don't have any media left and you want to copy the disc to your hard drive to burn later.
    If in doubt, Google it.
