  2. for anyone with same problem. here is wat i did , demux mpg. first to separate audio in video. then load the video and the edited wav. into Tmpgenc main screen. then reencode. which took me 5 more hours again which i dont want..i have slowwww system thats why Pen 2 400mhz.
Or you can encode wav. first to .mp2 then multiplex with Tmpgenc tools. which i didnt try coz some people have problems with audio sync when done this way..thank you.

Re-encoding always results in quality loss, it's best to avoid it by multiplexing.

  4. make sure audio % video are exactly the same length .. then encode wav to mp2 (besweet) then mutiplex using tmpgenc program stream vcd or system stream vcd (whats the difference?) 8) .

I put my DV home movie to my PC by Ulead 6 with DVD option. And then I encoded it to SVCD, but I didn't like to have the screen only 480 x 480, so I encoded to 720 x 480, but Nero wanted to encode it, I absolutely didn't want Nero to do that, so I encoded it to VCD, but I don't like the quality.
Is there a better encoding program to make VCDs then TMPG to not to drop the quality?

Why do you want to multiplex mpeg-1 and wav.

    VCD requires mp2 audio.
    SVCD requires mp2 audio

DVD allows mpeg-1 and wav, but DVD authoring apps should accept seperate streams.

So why do you want/need to multiplex mpeg-1 and wav.
