Menu Pausing Problem

My friend burned me a bunch of VCD's with NERO 5.5 and he added a little opening title menu to each of them with about a four second pause. I have a Panasonic RV-31 and I can't seem to get past this opening menu. The player loads the CD fine, but just pauses at this screen and won't go on to playing the rest of the VCD. Anybody else had this problem with any player, and if so were you able to fix it?

i could be wrong but with opening menu's you usually have to still press on your remote the number of the file you want to play or press play again. i'll have to experiment with it cause i'm not definate......
