I posted a rather lengthy query in DVD to SVCD conversion forum, but have since found this forum and thought an abbreviated version might be more appropriate here.

Here goes ...

All I really want to do is akin to taking a VTS_01_1.VOB (40 minutes) from one movie and VTS_02_1.VOB (40 minutes) from another movie (same DVD) and create 1 VOB (or series of VTS_01_X.VOB files) with a new IFO file that ties them all together. I would then use DVD2SVCD to select the new IFO and rather than it showing only the 1st 40 minute movie it shows 1 80 minute movie consisting of both 40 minute movies VOB's or 1 combined VOB of 80 minutes.

I use DVD Shrink to extract the VOB's and VOB Merge in addition to IFOEdit, but have had no luck. It may be due to the fact that a) I don't know what I am doing, or b) the VOB files are of different series (VTS_01_1.VOB, VTS_02_1.VOB, etc.)

Any ideas or recommended tools would be MOST APPRECIATED.
