  2. Go whit Matrox RT2500 1 of the best for low price $800
but if you don't have money go whit pinnacle low cost series like Pinnacle STUDIO DV V.7 PROFESSIONAL $ 110
don't waste your money on Ati or WinTV.

I guess Studio DV V.7 Pro would be a good choice since I spend so much money buying a new P4 system.

  4. susie,

The Studio DV does sound nice...BUT it's NOT a TV Tuner card (unless someone knows something I don't). It's a Digital Video Firewire package.

I'm looking for a TV-Tuner card myself and have heard conflicting opinions on TV-Wonder and WinTV.

1mennuti, Hiei was helping out by suggesting that Studio DV is a good capture card. May be he is right. Because I heard lots of people say that both ATI Tv wonder and WinTv are no good but ok for watching TV.

  8. Studio DV is not a capture card. Its a firewire card. The only thing it will allow you to do it transfer large amounts of data to your computer. So if you have a DV camcorder (or digital with a firewire port you could export video from the camera (or anyother compatable device)to your computer. However the video would have to already be in a digital format as the card does no conversion/capture.

As for capture/tv tuner cards I have a ATI AIW 128 and it works fine, however with the ati cards the problem is to get them to work. ATI doesn't have the greatest support and I think they must go out of there way to make bad drivers.

  10. unless something happens over at ati, I think the next radeon card will have the same problems as the first one. i.e. bad drivers.

I agree with you and bad drivers will for sure keep away a lot of potential customers.

Thats good news. The reason I mentioned WinTV Go is because
the video card is on sale now at Staples for $49. I want to buy a capture card with TV Tuner. I selected ATI TV Wonder and WinTv Go but I read so many reviews bad mouthing both cards
