  1. Sorry to ask this as I am new and I'm sure there's a "How to" for this question: What exactly ARE the steps to making a disc that will play in a DVD standalone (VCD) and autorun in a CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive (i.e. Flash or Director exe file)using Nero 5.5.4? Many thanks!!!

    Search Comp PM
For burning instructions look ubder the Nero guides to the left under AUTHOR

For autorun instructions, search through the forum as it has been discussed previously. I am not exactly sure on it.

    Thanks

  3. Thanks. But I couldn't find any instructions for making a disc that has these two functions under the "Author" section. It only tells how to burn pure VCD, SVCD and XVCD. I'm looking to create a VCD with data files (specifically a Flash projector file with an autorun.inf file to launch it). Ideally, the disc (VCD part) will autoplay in a standalone DVD player and the Flash file will autorun in a PC CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive. In other words, using Nero, do I use the Mixed Mode,CD Extra or CD-ROM Hybrid to start? Thanks.

  4. I figured it out! Very simple: burn the VCD without finalizing, then burn a regular data session with the data files. Thanks anyway!

  5. Sorry, but I doubt very much that "VCD" you create will work if you do this.

If you create your VCDs with Nero, you can actually drag additional files and folders into the ISO filesystem of the VCD in the main screen.
