    need to know when using win tv pvr (pci card) is the file first be in avi format then convert to mpeg? or when capturing it is in mpeg format already? please let me know so I can know if this is the right capturing procedure. if so what next to convert to mpeg?

    if you can capture staight in mpeg, fine (read your manual).if not, use vdub to capture in avi then convert it to mpeg using tmpegenc.
