My WinTV PVR randomly stops playing audio just like that. Most likely, it will happen if I switch TV channels, but it can also happen when I don't do anything and just watch a TV program. Sometimes I can restore sound by playing with the AudioSel app. Best chance is to switch sources (2 to 20 times) and if I'm lucky, the "Radio Audio Source" will restore audio (for a short time). Hauppauge support recommended a higher PCI Latency setting in my A7V266 Bios, but it didn't help. Showshifter says that its the WDM driver which can't handle the stereo chip on the PVR board properly. Despite many other annoying bugs in the PVR software is this the final killer. If they don't solve this bug soon, I throw the PVR into the trash bin where it belonged to in the first place. Besides, has anyone ever got decent support from Hauppauge? Any feedback is highly appreciated!!
