    Good Afternoon folks,
First off, this may take some time to explain so please read to the end first.

I have a suite of VOB files (no, IFOs or BUPs or anything else) just the VOB files. I used IFOEdit to recreate the IFOs and corrected the VTS Sectors. All appears to work normally. I then use DVD Author to create my tailored chapter points and burn to disk. Except the size what greater than what a DVDR will take. So, I use DVDShrink and reauthor it down to an acceptable size. Yes, I am painfully aware that I will lose my menus and tailored chapter points. Anyway DVDShrink works just fine.
I now have set of IFOs, BUPs and VOBs that will fit on one DVDR.
Reloading this file back into DVDAuthor to reestablish the chapter points fails. In fact DVDAuthor will not recognize the files at all.
I have even tried deleting everything except the shrunk VOBs and used IFOEdit to recreate the necessary IFOs (with VTS Sector correction) for this new suite of VOBs. This time DVDAuthor recognized the files and allowed me to recreate my chapter points. However, when generating the disk file just prior to burning, DVDAuthor hangs and says that I do not have enough "system resources." Which of course is just bogus. There is SOMETHING in this newly created set of IFOs and shrunk VOBs that is causing the program to hang.
My question is can anyone think of a step or process that I omitted or did not do correctly? Or maybe a different process to add chapters to a video that has been shrunk.

    Ed.
