STB TV Tuner Card

my friend had an extra tv tuner card, it's the STB PCI FM card, i install (under winxp, i know it supported under 95/98 only) with tweaked driver. look good but can't install the software,

i tried atv2000 but i say it can't initialized the card, can anybody help . thanks.

I've got one of these as well. I never had any luck getting any WDM drivers sets to work (which I believe is what XP wants to use). I had marginal success using some VFW drivers. I had it working at one point, but a month later it wasn't. I ended up yanking it out and replacing it with a $40 WinTV-GO card.

I'm pretty sure this card doesn't like to share IRQ's, so you might want to try that. I wasn't able to get it to not share an IRQ in my box, too much stuff.

Too bad, because it's a decent card. I may try putting it in my wife's machine, since it claims to do higher rez captures than the GO.

You might try Gateway's web site for drivers. I believe that's where I got the drivers that I had working.

Just install the VfW drivers and try to use AVI_IO for capture and DScaler for viewing.
