    Hello all I would like to know the best software for converting avi to vcd file. I have tried Winmpg only it locks up. I tried Tmpengplus but when I converted it made the video very grainy.

    I use tmpgenc to convert the file and it works like a charm for me. Is the source of the file good?

    TMPGEnc is a good VCD encoder, I'm not sure that another program will make a difference. VCD is pretty low resolution, maybe you just don't find it to your liking.
