I've been trying to save templates in Vegas.I have Huffyuv, and Picvideo Mjpeg. When i edit a video(avi captured with picvideo),and select render as, I select template Ntsc dv,and video for windows then custom.I then select picvideo from the drop down menu, rename and then save template. The template then defaults to Pal dv widescreen. The only way i can save edited avi is to the default templates.
    Thanks for any help.

After you choose video for windows in "Save as type", choose custom. On the next screen, choose video quality. Then use one of the tabs on the bottom. Once there, Use the drop down on the top to choose DVD NTSC, or whatever. Look in the description box and make sure the parameters are what you want. Then enter a name for your template (I use Ron's). After entering a name, click on the disk next to that box and choose save template.

    Hope this helps.
