  1. Here is the problem:
We want to play a dvd movie that I created myself to play on an LCD projector from a pc notebook. The dvd that I created will play on both my pc computer and mac computer at home and will play on both our regular dvd players. But when we hook up our PC notebook to the LCD Projector, no picture comes out. I know we have the right connectors from the notebook to the LCD projector.
Could the LCD Projector not handle a dvd that was made from a computer or is there another explanation.

    Please Help

  2. I am no expert in projectors but it may be a problem with ntsc and pal. What are the projector and the source file. My 2 cents would say that they are different and this is why it is not working.

Are projectors universal ?, do they display both pal and ntsc ?, maybe you just need to change the settings on the projector to matcht he file that you are attempting to play.

  3. The dvd was master was in pal. But I converted the dvd to ntsc. The dvd NTSC was then able to play in all my dvd players but the LCD Projector.

I am assuming that you can get the normal pc screen to display on the projector? With my laptop when I connect it to my TV via the S-Video output I have to choose which is the primary display. The normal screen (e.g. windows) displays on both, but the video only displays on the primary screen (presumably due to memory / processing power limitations).

You didn't say how you were connecting to the projector (TV/S-Vid out or VGA) so its a bit hard to tell. Can you get other dvds (i.e. non PAL - NTSC converted ones) to play?

    Easy one!

You have to turn your laptop VGA output on.

    You have the following:

    1) Laptop display only
    2) VGA output only
    3) Display and VGA output
This is usually done with a laptop function keys.

The LCD projector can not handle all display resolutions/refresh rates. I reccomend no higher than 800x600 (try 640x480 if all else fails) at 60 Hz.
