  3. i just forced aspi and checked my hard drive,dma is on.I'm still getting 1-2 speed.

  4. DMA is enabled on the HD, but is it enabled on for the DVD-ROM Drive.

    I thought long about even helping you...but here,

    Device Manager->IDE Controllers->(pick whichever channel you want or both)->Properties->Advanced Settings

    that simple!

  8. thanks kid,i kept trying to find it under my dvd rom settings.now i'm having a problem with tmpge shutting down after like 25 min of encoding.one more question,should my hard drives be basic or dynamic?
