Hi wondering what is better ? becauce I can only get ulead video working this is the first time I have captured Video I have a Canon MV 600i camera with a Firewire card and win XP

Could you guys show me some good sofware and guides please

This is probaly a stupid question but do you need a cable just for sound to a sound card?

Going on this statement I must extropolate that you tried VirtualDub with your DV camera. VirtualDub will read/import DV (avi) but it will not capture/trasfer the DV 'data stream' . Try DVIO for that.

NO - you do not need a seperate cable for sound if using firewire.
