Is there a plug-in for Vegas 4 that lets you play and convert VOB files in the timeline?

I'm sick of all these complicated programs like virtualdub and vobedit. It would be nice if I could just open a vob file in Vegas 4 and then render as whatever I want(mpeg2, mpeg1, AVI, ect).

    Anything?

I tried changing the extention of the vob file to mpg and Vegas will open it then. But it's very jerky(won't even really playback) and there is no audio.

Vegas actually does handle VOB files, but they sure dont announce it in the program info. Just try dragging one up on the time line, I know I tried it once and it came in fine. I didnt try to render it or anything, but you might find troubles with audio drift or something like that.

Doesn't work at all for me. Vegas won't even recognize them.

VV4 doesnt recognize VOB as an allowable file format, you have to force it onto the timeline.

Select all files from the open menu, then find your VOB and force it up there.

Dont use the media explorer since that only sees recognized files. Use the file/open command on the menu, select All Files, find your VOB and open it. It will then come onto the time line.

What you are able to do with it after that, I have no idea - never tried.
