Help Copying Dvd

I have a movie that i want to make a copy of (i do own the copy) but when ever i try to use nero burning rom to make a copy of it, it tells me that it is burn protected or soemthing like that how can i still make a copy of it is there a way to get pass that or sumtin?? Your help would be much apreciated Thnx in Advance

You can't simply copy from a commercial dvd to a +/- DVDR because 1; They are copy protected 2; Most are dual layered and won't fit onto a DVDR. Look at the guides here; https://www.videohelp.com/dvdripping. Your best bet would be to use DVD Decryptor and DVD Shrink as they are both freeware. Since you have Nero you will be set to burn. If you don't mind spending a little more money DVD2ONE is better than DVD Shrink in my opinion.

thnx but i solved my own problem lol should have tried the program that came with the dvd burner (dvdx) well looks like you were right i will need 2 dvds well thnx for the quick response
