Sony 650D can't read my VCD files

Need help!!! I have tried duplicating what others have done to burn VCDs for the Sony 650D Here is what I have done.

1. Brought in video using Video Wave III (does read in and play properly)
2. Converted it to VCD using TMPGEnc (freeware from the site)
3. Tried Nero 5.5 demo and that did not work.
Have CD Creator (basic - not deluxe). Will gladly upgrade/buy either if I just knew it would work. I am trying to burn Digital Media CD-Rs (high reflectivity).

Does anyone have any recommendations? Are there some setting for the various pieces of Software that I am missing. Could really use some help on this.

Try to burn onto CD-RW.

Yea...I had the same problem on my Sony S550D DVD player...wouldnt read the 2 brands of CD-R that I tried, but had no problems with the CDRW that I tried....bought a 25pack of Memorex 4x CDRW...work fine for me.

sonys suck ass(atleast when it comes to playing burned media).....basically u payin for the name
