Doesn't your ati have tvout? Or else buy a new videocard with tv-out/video-out, most newer videocards have tv-out.

That's what I was thinking. Most cards have video outs, especially ATI cards.
I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored.

Video cards don't come with audio out, but these days it seems there are more video cards that have TV out than doesn't.
Many nVidia GeForce cards for instance. You have to either connect your TV to your sound card (audio out) or let the PC speakers produce the audio (as usual) while sending the picture to the TV.

  6. Why?

If you want to see the computer output (aka windows desktop), good luck. RCA will make you need glasses. If you want to play movies, cheap card = bad output.

No S-video to your TV ?

Many video cards have TV out. Look for one with "TV-out". Here is one for $27 at overstock.com http://www.overstock.com/cgi-bin/d2.cgi?PAGE=PROFRAME&PROD_ID=449227

Some other options are RealMagic cards (XCard, HW+) for movies out. High quality, and does the mpeg decompression on the card. No windows out.
