I have several VCD's that I would like to make copies of. When I have used tools to just copy the VCD disks, they will not play on stand alone DVD/VCD players. Is there a good freeware program that will allow me to make backup copies of my VCD's that can play on standalone DVD/VCD players? If so, any guidance on settings to use that software.
Thanks in advance to all who respond.

just make a .bin/.cue image using cdr-win, or make a .nrg image using nero 5x
it works everytime for me and no loss of quality or compatiblility -
In terms of "freeware", you can use CDR-Win demo to extract to a CUE/BIN image quite quickly. It will only burn at 1x, however.
To burn back the CUE/BIN, you can try CDRDAO (there's a Win32 build) with XDuplicator (a Win32 GUI). Both are freeware and work quite well.
If you do a search with Google, you will find the above proggies.
