I am currently using PD Pro 2.5 to edit/produce my video files but would like to find something with better video quality and more editing options. I would like to find something that is reasonably priced ($50-150) and that is somewhat user friendly. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks...

  2. I'm still a newbie but I've trialed a bunch of options. Pinnacle Studio 8 is still buggy and VERY long. NeoDvd is simple but leaves out options. DVD Workshop is great but pricey. Dazzle DVD is buggy. That leaves VideoStudio 7 and MovieFactory 2 which are simple and seem to work very well for me.
I am also trying out EZCD 6 and so far no coasters but it has a long way to go with it's options.
Hope this helps somewhat with 1 man's opinion.

have you tried anything from Sonic Foundry? Vegas Video is out of your price range, but Video Factory is a stripped down version, might be worth checking out depending on what they stripped out vs. what you need.

Vegas is pretty user-friendly, and the learning curve is not too steep.
