seffys templates and black screen

Ive recently tried the Sevcd template all gopes well until I try to play in my dvd all I get is a black screen and the disk runs quicker then normal , any help would be appreciated. Ive followed his instructions in the file.

You don't mention your DVD model...
Sefy's template creates XVCD. So, it is not playable to all DVD standalone players.
You probably own a player uncapable to read SeVCD...

The reason why it plays back the cd at a fast pace is the reason that u burned it WRONG. It will not play anything because it cannot read the way you burned it.
The only way a dv player can read a cd at a faster pace is if the cd is a data cd rather than audio or vcd,svcd,etc.

the dvd is a himage dvd-595 your right about xvcd ive tried a standard template with the same settings and all is well.thanks for the reply.
Sean what I meant was I got a black screen but the display timer ran quicker, like it was fast foreward , sorry for I was misleading.
