    Hi there,

    what software do you have around ? If you have premiere 6+ around you can load your image on one timeline then load the video on another and use the transform, (distort ?) tool to resize it into the box. You could also use editstudio, (which used to be free), and allows you to do the same thing.

    Cheers

    I believe Ulead Video Studio will do it very easily.

    On the timeline you have your main Video stream, and a secondary stream which you can scale & place (and set transparency etc).

    The only thing I am not 100% certain of is whether you can choose the exact location or whether you are forced to use one of 9 set locations, but you can certain scale it to the size you want.
    The glass is neither half-full, nor half-empty.
    It is simply twice as big as it needs to be.

  5. With Ulead VideoStudio 7 (trial) you can select custom (Anchor at user defined position) position and size (from 10% to 400%) of overlayed video.

    If you don't have access to premier etc, I think Avisynth can do it quite easily as well.

    Without knowing how easy the Avisynth solution would be, donpedro just confirmed that the overlay video with Ulead VS7 Trial will allow an anchor point.

    That makes this a free and extremely easy to implement solution. No manual or instruction required - I am yet to need one for the few times I have use it. You may still want to consider this if the others start involving more steps than a couple of drag-and-drop and a few clicks.

    OR you can go with Vegas Video's little brother Video Factory which will do this for you and cost you only around $60. A very good investment!

    #load the picture and return a 20 sec clip (25 fps)
    picture=ImageSequence("E:\housestats.jpg",1,500).C onvertToYUY2
    #load the videoclip, resize to the proper framesize
    Videoclip=AVISource("H:\test.avi").BilinearResize( 450,300).ConvertToYUY2
    #return a 20 sec videoclip
    videoclip=Trim(videoclip,0,499)
    #overlay both clips
    Return Layer(picture,videoclip,"add",255,210,130)

  14. Just put picture in video track and video in overlay track and change size and position. Video will play on top of your picture. It should be easy.
