  1. ok we all here know that when u burn svcd it uses a different format so u can actualy fit 800mb on a 700mb disk.. but nero wont allow me to do it.. i can however burn other people's files with the bin and cue and it is around 790mb.. my file is a 780mb mpeg2 file and nero says disk is not enough.. wat gives?

  2. How many minutes long is the video file? That is also an important factor...with SVCD i think it can only be 35 minutes or so....

Dont answer if you dont know what your talking about. Minutes matter not, mb's do. 800mb is the full burnable size for 80min disc in mode2.

I would suggest a simple multiplex w/ tmpgenc, then give it another try. That happened to me once and that seemed to fix it.

Laserdiscs are cool, but laserdiscs on DVD-Rs are cooler.

  5. look at the screenshot it says "medium type in the recorder: EMPTY" so you either dont have in a disc, or your drive wont recognize the disc.

If there is a disc in the drive then you either have a bad disc, a bad drive, or maybe just an incompatibility between the two.

  6. hey thx dude.. it was the multiplex with mpeg that fixed it weird.. file size changed by less than 1 mb but nero read the file corrected and allowed me to burn it.. thx again

  7. negon you are reading bad information. Read info from Doom9 and DVDRHELP. Yes I read your links but find the sources questionable.

Understand the difference between CBR and VBR.

If you look at the latest poll many people but over 60 minutes on a SVCD.
