  1. I've been offered a copy of Ulead Media Studio Pro 5. Should I bother with it? Is this good software?

I've used Media Studio Pro 6.5 and think it is an excellent program. If someone is giving it to you, then take it. If they want to sell, then no as it is an older version.

Media Studio Pro comes with a lot of tools, is a little advanced but there are tutorials on the Ulead site to help you.
Got my retirement plans all set. Looks like I only have to work another 5 years after I die........

  3. If you plan on using the Media Studio 5, then after you install it, visit the Ulead web site and download all the update patches. You will need the updates to be compatable with all the recent DVD/CD burners as well as windows XP compatability. I use Ulead video Studio 7 and have Media Studio 6. Ulead Media Studio 7 just came out.

  4. Thanks. Yes, it was a free offer. I hope the patches for version 5 are still available at the Ulead web site.

  5. I had to pay a whole five bucks for it through an Imation CD rebate offer. I went to the Ulead website a few weeks ago and they had all the patchs for it available.

I still haven't installed it yet. Where would it fall on a scale between Pinnacle Studio 7 and Vegas Video 4 (the other editing programs I have).

I don't suppose that Version 5 does the capture in mpeg thing.

  6. Unfortunately all the XP patches I found at Ulead were for version 6.5. I haven't found any available via a google search...yet. Hopefully my luck will change.
If anyone here has copies of those patches...can we work out a way to transfer them to me?

    Thanks
