  1. I ahve made about 50 SVCDs in the past 2 days on cdrw, i capture 15sec from my PAL dv cam, its captured with lower field first 25fps, then i use vegas to render as mpreg2 480x576/25fps and uppwer field first.

    I ahve tried all kinds of cbr and vbr settings. The movie look perfect on my PC, but in the dvd player whenever the camera pans there is a strobe type effect.

    I burn the PAL svcd example from this website and it works PERFECTLY.

    SOooo was hoping some one could tell me precisely what are the mpeg settings required for me to render an mpeg if identicle quality? Audio bit rate, video bit rate, is upper or lower field, cbr or vbr ?

    I am usung mainconcept vegas video 4.0 to make it.

  2. If i cant get this to work i am gonna buy some different software.

    I looked at DVD movie Factory but there is no way tpo make small things like scene transitions, so the scene fades out and the new one fades in like you can with Vegas, and i want to put in text eg black screen THE END or whatever.

    What other software will do;

    capture from DV cam via firewire
    allow EASY scene transition like Vegas does
    Allow my to place text wherver i like - not essential i spose?
    render my project as a SVCD or maybe even CVD/XSVCD do any allow some control of the cbr/vbr?
    MAYBE burn it to cdrw for me? as an svcd? If not i can keep using vcdeasy which is fine.

    Appreicate any tips.
