I have a question/s regarding being able to combine multiple DVD movies or titles For the past few days, I've been browsing through everyone's messages and it seems like everyone has their own opinion on how to do this but unfortunately, it just made me even more confused. But when it comes down to it, it seems like IFOedit is the tool to use. For a newbie like me, I would really like to avoid using such tools cause it gets quite intimidating and frankly, I experimented with it and the result was a messed up compilation (one of the difference btwn the two DVDs is one of the DVD had more than one audio channel and the other only had one).
According to some posts, it seems that Ulead Movie Factory 2 and NeoDVD can import VOB files directly (or do they read out of the IFO file?). I experimented with Ulead Trial copy but it said that it was not compatible with AC3 audio. I read I should just ignore this message so I burned my first copy using Ulead. Guess what??? My finished DVD didn't have any audio. But I did see that it converted the original VOB file into an mpg file with audio. What happens if my VOB file has more than one audio??? Which audio does it pick? It also seems like it didn't even take the subtitles. So I am assuming that Ulead does not import subtitles. And when I try to deal with bigger VOBs, it says that I don't have enough memory eventhough I have more than 10 Gigs available. Has anyone tried this with NeoDVD? I heard good things about this product but don't want to buy if it does not help me accomplish goals.
Basically, what I'm trying to accomplish is to combine two DVD (or maybe more) with all their respective menus and extras (and of course audio channels, subtitles and multiangle). It would also be nice to create a new Main Menu which would lead to the orginal movie's respective main Menu.
I guess all of these are just wishful thinking but if any of you can help, that'll be great. Thanks.
