WinTV PVR 250

Maybe someone knows this answer because I sure don't. I just purchased the WinTV PVR 250 card (software version 1.6a) which comes with Movie Factory SE. Also I have installed Ulead 6.0 Pro. I can video capture to the PVR 250 card but when I open MF or Ulead I can't capture there. On the Movie Factory I get a message saying "No input signal or signal is unclear. On the Ulead program is just won't come in. Now on the Hauppauge under WinTV 250/350 questions it says the MF SE is just for editing and not capturing. Does that make sense to include a problem if you can't use Movie Factory. I can't figure out why...Any help would surely be appreciated...Thanks YB

I have been using the PVR 250 card for the past 8 months. I have contacted many of the DVD editing programs support people (Ulead, Pinnacle, Intervideo to name a few. All with the same answer. The PVR 250 card is not compatable for capturing direct into editing programs.

I will capture TV tuner and VCR with the WinTV 2000 program and then import the file to a Edit program with very good results. I use Ulead DVD Movie Factory, Video Studio 7 and recently NeoDVDplus. This is the only way. Never got an answer from Happauage about this program. I like the WinTV 2000 for capture because if your into DVD it gives you lots of capture options.
