  1. are there any settings for tmpg with which you can convert an avi to mpeg 2 and fill the whole 4.3gb disc. All of the covnersions i have done have ended up at about 1.5gb. i think it would be a shame if you slightly lost quality because the settings are not 100% right. Anybody help?

    EDIT>> sorry forgot to say - other than the standard dvd template settings

    You can use the wizard. Simply select the wizard, the DVD template, your video, and when you get to screen 4/5, select Expert. Select Rate control to read 2 pass VBR. Select okay. When you return to screen 4/5 you can then increase the bit rate to take up more of the DVD-R disk until you reach the maximum allowable. This should increase the quality of your video, and the anount of disk space.
