I'm trying to make a DVD from several VCD-discs. I have the guide that says I have to use Movie Factory 2. I have converted the .DAT-files to MPG-files, but no matter what I do, Movie Factory keeps re-encoding the MPG-files, while the guide says it will only re-encode the audio (44 kHz to 48 kHz). I think I've tried every option.
Can someone please tell me how to stop Movie Factory from re-encoding my MPEG-1 files. They are allready compliant, so there's no need for this.
Thanks!

The VCD Standard is 44.1 Khz, I use MPEgProperties available in the Tools menu on the left to check.
Using the guide to convert only the audio using TmpGenc with SSRC works for me.
The Guide works I have done more than one DVD of VCDs.
You did tell MF2 not to convert comliant MPGs?
The guide from here does not say MF2 will only encode the audio...
Are you using a different guide?
It does take some work to convert the audio of course. Demultiplex the audio & Video, convert the audio, remultiplex the audio & video takes some time and work.
Good Luck
