I have a problem!

Normally I make CVD discs from DV sourced material. I use Nero to burn these with it's SVCD template and SVCD compliance switched off. Everything works fine ... not a problem.

However, I have recently bought a Digital Terrestrial TV card for my PC which captures the raw MPEG2 data streams being broadcast terrestrially across the UK. The bitrates vary between 2.5 and 6 Mbps and the picture is excellent. Now, this raw MPEG2 stream is not compatible with standard DVD playback so I use a little freeware app called PVAstrumento to de-mux the file and BBmpeg to re-mux as an MPEG 2 programme file. This plays back perfectly on my DVD player on a CD-R disc when authored as an SVCD with Nero.

BUT!! Nero seems to think that the file is a data rather than a video file and pads it up by about 100Megs. If the file is re-muxed as an SVCD Nero has no problems with it (although it won't play correctly as it ISN'T an SVCD file!)

Is there any way around this "misreporting" of file sizes in Nero? Or is there a similar (and don't say VCDeasy as there's nothing easy about it!!) buring application that would accept the MPEG2 file and burn as an SVCD?
