Ulead MovieFactory2 Pause and Navigate Problems

I am experiencing a few problems with the SVCD slideshow I have created with Ulead DVD MovieFactory2. The slideshow is pretty big, consisting of over 500 pictures, a few short videos and about 20 menu pages. The problem(s) are:

1)I cannot pause the slideshow, video or any part of the project once it starts playing. Other SVCD's I've created can be paused on my Samsung DVD player! Can it be done with this software?
2)I can only navigate through the menu system once. If I play any part of the SVCD, I am no longer able to move throughout the chapter system. How do I fix this?

If you have music while playing your slideshow it disables PBC. I had similar navigation problems on my Singer SGD001, but not on my other DVD players. It must have to do how it interpretes PBC. I ended up creating SVCD's using VCDEasy, and had perfect PBC, but takes longer as you have to manually create menus etc.

I just got ulead and it appears that every file that I encoded with a non-standard tmpgenc template will not open, even if I change the header.
Does anyone else have any suggestions?
