There doesn't seem to be a forum where this fits 100%, but since it's part of the editing process...
I have a audio track which has probably been compressed too much since there is a slight metalic "twang" - now obviously you can't readd information lost, but is there some way to filter out this metalic sound?

What are you doing/done exactly?
If you R talking of encoding with TMPGEnc, then U need to check:
Option>Environmental Setting>Audio Engine>High Quality (low speed).
I had a similar prob with a movie that puzzled me for a little while, then I tried what I suggested and it worked.
