  1. Ok, I can make a vcd with nero & menus and it works on a standalone dvd player.

But if I use the menus with the Sony VIDEOPRESS Player and try to play it on a computer, it craps out.

Question is: Is there other PC VCD autoplay software that will work with Nero's menuing system?

otherwise my choices are to have to different versions or leave out the menus all together.

    thanks

Power DVD does let you use menus, just press appropriate button on keyboard eg 2 and it will automatically play that section.

  3. Your problem is that you are using Nero to make your menus. Nero does not correctly author still menus correctly and they do not work on some hardware players and most software players.

Use TSCV and VCDImager as your authoring tools. The menus and entrypoints will work with the Sony Videopress player. However, as of the last time I downloaded TSCV, when you put the autorun.inf file in the root of your CD, it never actually appears in the burn from the bin/cue. My guess is, as of this time, you may be able to burn the autorun.inf file in a second session, but I haven't tried that yet.
