  1. I'm not really new to making VCDs, but a new user of VCDEasy. The process isn't hard, but I am having issues when the VCD hits the end. I want to make it go to the main menu at finish, and have set VCDEasy go to the main menu after finishing the 6th chapter by using "Wait 3 seconds and on timeout go to" and used the drop down to select the correct menu page.
This seems right, but my DVD plays the VCD to the end then starts up again playing a random chapter number instead of going to the main menu. Am I doing this right?
Another question is that in the Interactivity tab each chapter is by default set to "Play once" and then "time out to VCD END". I have been changing this to go to the next chapter, not to end. Is this correct or am I screwing this part up?

Any experts out there, PLEASE lend a hand. Thanks.

    Yup you screwed up

A chapter is not a separate thing, it is nothing more than a jump point in the same video track. So when you start from 1st chapter it plays from 0 to end unless you tell it otherwise. If you jump to chapter 5 it jumps from, say 45min to end. You never actually move from one chapter to the next, all you are doing is setting start times. If this is confusing than just trust me and do this.

By default, when you set your chapters VCDEasy will make all of the next and previous connections. This takes care of navigation.

Set ALL of the chapter items to timeout to wherever you want, in your case the main menu. What this does is...whichever start point you jump to, it will play to the end and then jump to your menu. Thats it, this is all you need to change.

For a more in depth view of how to author with VCDEasy take a look at the VCDEasy section of my guide.
