how can i improve video quality?

i have avi file that i want to improve his quality how it can be done?

It is nearly impossible. Remember this from the Conversion page?:

Note 2! Always remember that if the video source quality is bad it will not get any better if you convert it to something else, Garbage in - Garbage out.

If you have a bad avi file what you can do is really try to used Virtual Dub and then use the filter. The filter that I used was removing 2D, Smooth Render, etc. All depend on the movie quality and what happen.

there are little things you can do like color correction,etc but in general, you can't make a buck outta 15 cents.
