I'll try to make this as simple as I can.

I've finally made a sucessful SVCD using TSCV, and it plays! FF/RW, Chapters, numeric selection, auto-play, and GOTO search all work as they were intended! (thanks to ttool and several others on the TSCV forum for their help with that part)!

However, I'm a bit concerned how I got there. If I multiplex with bbMPEG, I seem to get an incorrect timescale for TSCV (VCDImager), rendering GOTO search useless.

If I multiplex with TMPGEnc, it hangs indefinitely, I have to dump out of the program to stop the multiplex once its done. Is this the norm?

I tried this TMPGenc movie instead of my usual bbMPEG, and updated the scan offsets in TSCV, and got the correct timescale on my disc! But the video isn't totally synched up (when you FF/RW sometimes, though it returns to synch after a second)...

My simple question (if it is answered, I'll leave you all alone about this) is:

How SHOULD I be multiplexing audio/video for proper use in TSCV/VCDImager, to make a movie with correct timescale? Seems I have to have TMPGEnc mux the SVCD, and then have TSCV/VCDImager make offsets, and no other combination of programs work. But, I could be wrong, so I'd like a "pro" on this to set me straight.

    Thanks!

Why does the "simple" become "not simple" while I wait for answers?...

Guess what. Now TMPGEnc is making my Windows 2000 paging files go absilutely berserk. I had to raise them even as high as 1500MB per drive, and it was using 700MB of "RAM" to multiplex!

Is THIS the norm? Or just something nuts?

Experts, please answer this question, the last question, or both... I'm going nuts...
