  1. I may have been able to find these answers out on my own, but why when you can just ask. First of all, what is the story with the dvd+rw drives? I have seen that the discs are only 3 gig, compared to 4.7 for -rw. What I haven't heard much about, and am more interested in, is dvd+r. I have seen that the phillips drive will burn +r's with a firware upgrade(yes an upgrade, and the damn thing hasn't even come out). Also what are the size of the discs for +r. Anyone know of a good site to get info on all the dvd stuff because I am looking to change over now. I am much more tempted to go with the -rw drive now instead of waiting, because from what I have seen it is just as compatable, and plus dvd-r discs are already down to $6. The price is going down fast, and $6 isn't bad for a 4.7 gig disc. Someone set me straight!

The Apple brand discs are $5 each in bulk on the apple.com website and on their reseller's site jandr.com.

i thought they were making dvdplusrw the same size as dvd-video so you get better compatibility.

  6. I've been all over the Apple and JandR site - I don't see dvd-r's for under $10 bucks.

    Am I stupid?
