    How do I get Nero to read my CD - R? is it supposed to detect it automatically? I have a NEC PD-1 0DX658

    what exactly do you mean read your cd r ?
    when i put a cd r in it just detects it automaticaly

    I mean my CD Recorder..I don't think it reads it properly

    Your CD recorder seems to be not supported by Nero.
