Hi there,
Who of you can tell me whether a SCVD created from AVI's with PAL settings can be played through PowerDVD in the US. Should the person playing in the US make some adjustment to settings?
Thanks.
Marcel

If it was an original PAL DVD then yes, but with a SVCD, Playback on a PC with programs like Power DVD is unaffected.

KingJohn,
Thanks for your reply!
P.S. What do you mean with "but but a SVCD"?
I conclude that a SVCD made under PAL settings will be automatically played on a PC in the USA with PowerDVD on it. PowerDVD will change its settings from NTSC to PAL if a PAL SVCD is recognised!

but but
I have a sticky keyboard.
Yes PowerDVD will switch, if it was a Region 2 DVD, then PowerDVD in the US would give the person 5 changes only (Unless you run a hack like DVD Genie)
