I would like someone to post some proof that Pioneer OEM drives are made with subpar parts than Boxed retail Branded Pioneer Drives???
I have a Cendyne 4x drive that IS a Pioneer cause it is badged on the side and IS identifed by the Hardware XP profile from the BIOS. Comestically identical as well as duplicate specs.
So basically what you are saying is all Apple computer got hamburger dvd burners?
The ink on the front Bezel that Spells out PIONEER somehow makes the drive a superior engineered piece of hardware?
Or it a lexus vs. toyota prestige marketing brainwash that just wants you to throw your money into the profit coffers of large corporations.
I'm quite happy with my OEM pioneer and the $100 US I saved buying it @ staples (Sister lives in US) is paying for all my media
