Best Slideshow S/W For These Requirements...

I've read through a lot threads on S/W for creating slideshows from
digital stills, but I didn't see any S/W mentioned that met these
specific requirements. I was wondering if anyone had recommendations
for the S/W that best meets these needs:

-- Create slideshow movies (high-res/hi-quality stills not needed, not
necessary to have "push-button" control of slide transitions, primarily
interested in slideshow creation from stills, not video)
-- Titles
-- Transition effects
-- Set slideshow length (duration of entire slideshow and individual slides)
-- Background music (should provide lots of stock loops, should be
able to adjust music to match slideshow length, rather than adjust
slideshow length to match loop)
-- Large # of slides per slideshow, multiple slideshows per disc
-- Import music files (wav/mp3)
-- Burn to VCD/SVCD/DVD output format
-- Price under $300 (US)

I'm currently using Pinnacle Expression for slideshow creation. The
primary drawbacks are the limited number of stock background music
loops and the inability to "stretch" or "loop" the music clips to match
the slideshow nicely. I can set the entire slideshow length to match the
music loop length. The problem with this is that for long slideshows
the individual slide duration is very short. Or I can set the slide duration,
but then I can't control where the loop ends or where it begins again. I
would really like more control over the slideshow/music synchronization,
as well as more than just the 8 stock loops Expression came with.

Pinnacle Expression is too limiting for what you want to do.
