Why does this program inflate the size of my videos so much? If I author a dvd using IfoEdit the resulting dvd is basically the same size as my video and audio together but win I use MyDVD the resulting dvd is much larger.

MyDVD converts all audio to uncompressed PCM which uses about 25% of file space for audio thereby reducing the amount of space available for video. Authorware like SpruceUp can use the original ac3 audio which only uses 5-10% of file space for the audio.

Yes, I found this out the hard way. I bagged this program and went to DVD Moviefactory - it did not reencode the MPEG layer 2 audio and I could fit the test movie on the disc.

Sorry but the trial version is not yet available. -
I just bought Ulead DVD Movie Factory off of ebay for $13.95. The final cost was $21.00 after shipping and insurance. I too was using MyDVD to author my home DVDs and decide to switch to Ulead DVD Movie Factory because of the file inflation issue.
