i read somewhere that you can identify what codec is needed to convert a mpeg file ,
i have a bin and cue file , i used vcdgear to convert it to mpeg , now i am unable to play it , i have nimo build 7 and the tm? codec , also divex codecs , no media player i have can open it real1 , winmedia , or the divx player is there some way i can tell what codec i need to get ?
i tried run it in tmpeg unsupported ,
in virdub i get > mpeg import filter: pack synchronization error
just want to say you have a great site that has helped in many ways thx for all your effort helping with all of these issues

You could download GSpot as it tells you what codec your .avi's are and everything. Also, you could download the Nimo Codecs Package as it comes with the codecs you'll need.
Hope That Helps!!! :P -
nimo codec pack has most but not all,try to d/l
xvid codec from somewhere, cause its the one

also, divx 5 with xvid covers all i ran into -
Ok, maybe you wana download these test movies I threw together, see how many you can play/edit
Then put them on your own web site for others 8)

Shush don't tell anybody around here, or they will all want them
They all load into Vdub except WMV which will load into TMPGEnc
