  1. Someone made a copy of a VCD for me, but instead of just copying the disk itself, he copied the individual forlers with the *.dat files and the the rest. Is there anyway for me to burn this into a VCD?
I would rather not convert the dats to mpg, recreate the menus (which I like), etc.
    Thanks for you help.

  2. And by the way I am using Easy Video CD creator 4.02 (Adaptec).

  3. The answer I think, is no.

The original PBC structure would have been lost if the copy is just a copy of the files, rather than a physical copy of the disc.

btw, in theory all PBC ifnormation is contained in those PSD/LOT files...

but the problem is, that there is no tool I know of, that is able to burn those files into the correct locations.... and vcdxrip needs those files there to be able to re-extract all information...

  6. Strange that no one has done this. I have, this is how:
    1) "re-encode" the .DAT file to MPEG file using TMPGEnc cut & join tool. Do not bother to cut or join anything here. Just specify input file (.DAT), output file (.MPG) then hit RUN.
    2) burn the resulting MPG file as a VCD
I have done this and it works !!!

  8. You've missed the point. The question was whether or not the PBC structure (i.e., the menus, etc.) could be re-created.

  9. vitualis,
you were right, I did not pay attention to the PBC structure, simply because I did not know what it is. However, I have recreated (without menu of course) VCD from .DAT file and it works for me.
