  1. I got a problem... When I try to cut an .avi movie into two parts with the program VirtualDub, the quality gets really bad... Why? Cant't i use the same quality as the movie was vefore i started to cut? why must the program change the quality? I just want two cut the movies into two parts and then burn it out on a VCD... Please help me...

    Make sure you select direct stream copy for both audio and video.
    Doing this, there will be no reencoding and the quality will be the same.

    But Vdub generates *.avi files only, VCD requires *.mpg, so another conversion is necessary.

    What steps have you done yet?
