  1. I use Doom 9's guide to convert my avi's to mpeg for VCD.Can someone explain why the guide does it this way:

    Step 1:extract audio
    audio>>>>full processing
    file>>>>>save wav
    Step 2:tmpg
uses this to convert the video and audio to vcd(mpeg
    Step3e-multiplex
demultiplex the new mpg file to get 1 video and 1 audio file
    Step 4:bbmpg
use bbmpg to multiplex it back to an mpg format
Now why is it doen this way.Couldn't you just skip steps 3 and 4 and go straight to burning it on CD-r after using tmpg?
I was just curious as why he does it this way.Does anyone now the reason.I noticed that if i only extract audio and use tmpg and than use nero to rip it to Cd-r my audio is most of the time out of sync.If i do it the way Doom9's guide tells me my audio is always in sync.
Just really curious to know if anyone else does it this way and also why it's done this way?
