  1. I am experimenting with MSDVR which uses Windows media encoder 7.1 to capture .wmv video from my avertv stereo card. Then I am converting the .wmv to VCD format using TMPGENC. Seems to give good results as compared to using PowerVCRII goint straight to VCD (or 1500k XVCD) format. I may try AVI capturing but want to make it easy and fast to convert to VCD format. TMPGENC converts .wmv. to VCD at about a 1.5:1 ratio (1.5 seconds to encode 1 second of .wmv video)

    ANy comments or suggestions?

I get good results on the settings I gave there.
Mind you I've got PowerDirector Pro now and that gives even better results at the same settings.
